Nat Lofthouse OBE

England and Bolton Wanderers F.C.
9-foot bronze statue, unveiled outside the Reebok Stadium (now the
macron stadium), Bolton, Greater Manchester on 24th August 2013.

The unveiling was attended by several hundred spectators including Jeff Lofthouse, Nat’s son who was given the honor of unveiling the effigy of his late, great father.
Nat Lofthouse, a native Boltonian played for Bolton Wanderers for his entire career.He was capped 33 times for England and scored 30 goals giving himself one of the greatest goals-per-game ratios of any player to represent England.His never say die attitude earned him the nickname’The Lion Of Vienna for Bolton Wanderers had led them to the F.A Cup final twice, winning it in 1958 against Manchester Utd-2,0.

Nat scored both of the goals and in doing so cemented his place as a Bolton legend.
